It was a lonely street. There was no one else on it. He was walking alone.
A rat ran across his path. He took a step back and slipped in a puddle, falling, knocking himself unconscious. When we he woke up, he was still alone. His leg was broken. It was causing him pain. He couldn’t move.
“I could be stuck alone here for hours!” he said out loud to no one. His voice echoed against the walls. The rat ran off. He let himself drift away…
