I was very sorry, as I was driving my Integra along the I-95 today, to hear about about your chronic myelogenous leukemia. Dang, I thought, passing through Darien, you've got malignant cancer of the bone marrow that causes rapid growth of the blood forming cells (known as myeloid precursors) in the bone marrow, peripheral blood, and body tissues. That's not gonna tickle. I stopped into a Friendly's for a Strawberry Fribble, but I just couldn't stop thinking about how in 5 years, in most people, the disease progresses to a "blast crisis" when there is a very high count of immature white blood cells (leukemia cells). I'm sure it must be hard on you to think about difficult to treat the blast phase of leukemia is, and the fact that you may experience bleeding and infection due to bone marrow failure at this stage. Still, it was a hell of a nice day for a drive.
